Disney is hoping online peer pressure will drive ticket sales to the upcoming movie “Toy Story 3”.
They have combined e-commerce with the powerful recommendation forces of social networking by creating a first-of-its-kind application which allows people to buy tickets directly within Facebook.
The application on the official Toy Story 3 Facebook page, allows North American movie goers to buy a ticket and then invite their Facebook friends to do the same all without leaving the popular social networking site.
