600,000 searches a month on eBay UK for ‘BMW’ has inspired the company to create its own eBay store.
This move makes BMW the first car maker to sell directly through the site, and allows it to take advantage of the sizeable market for car parts and accessories on the site. With official parts and a two-year guarantee, eBay buyers can shop at ease – all 96 million of them.
We suspect this online venture may very well create a domino effect throughout the car industry.
