In Korea, Tesco is bringing the supermarket to thousands of people too busy to shop.
Looking just like a Tesco store, virtual shelves were displayed in subway stations where people could shop with their smartphones, and scan items with a QR code reader to buy them. Purchased items were then delivered to the customer’s home on the same day.
The campaign was a huge success with online sales increasing by 130%.
