Got a back seat driver in your car? We’re not talking about the person in the passenger seat, but the small person riding in the back. ToyToyota has created an iPhone app called “Backseat Driver” which allows kids to drive along the same road as they are currently travelling with you in the real world.
By using the phone’s GPS to track and predict the road ahead, the app translates your current surroundings into an animated game for kids (or big kids who like to play games).
As you make the correct turns in the game and collect virtual prizes on the way, points are collected which kids can be redeem to pimp out their virtual car. Talk about a good way to foster a love of Toyota and its accessories within a child. “When I grow up Dad, I really want a rear spoiler.”
