Following the heroic efforts of the police during the Christchurch earthquakes, the New Zealand Police have launched a creative recruitment campaign to encourage young kiwis to join the force and make a difference.
The work shows real experiences of police officers as stencils near where actual events have taken place. Enlisting the artistic talents of Street Artist, Otis Frizzell, the stencils were made to look as realistic as possible by incorporating the imperfections of surfaces to bring the characters to life.
Adshel posters of the stencils included QR codes which linked to videos of New Zealand Police telling their stories, and also doubled as a map so viewers could track down the artwork.
