Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to visit a city and create your own souvenir? Barcelona-based blablabLAB has created a way of doing this using Xbox Kinect sensors and a 3D printer to create mini figures based on a scan of a real person. Visitors stand on a platform and pose as a human statue, and for a few minutes for being street art they are rewarded with a cool 3D figurine of themselves.
Could this technology eventually make photos ‘so last year’, and 3D figurines and scenes the new way of storing your holiday memories?
