The damage the sun causes to our bodies is an issue that is not taken seriously enough, despite the massive loss of life we see every year due to skin cancer.
In a very visual way the city of Madrid represented the disappearance of the 700 lives Spain loses each year to Melanoma through real scale ice statues located on the streets of Madrid.
As the sun beamed down, the statues melted and left passers by with a memorable representation of the human life lost to skin cancer.
