How do you re-invent the microwave?
Well, you could start by eliminating the annoying beep that happens when your food is ready.
This is what BGH Quick Chef have done by creating a custom-built microwave with speakers at the back, and a USB port on the side. Now you can hear your favourite music instead of hearing the beep.
The company released 1,000 limited edition microwaves this year which sold out within the first week, prompting plans for mass musical production in 2012.
Soon you’ll be able to play your Meat Loaf and eat it too!
