Hotel Chocolat sweetener for coffee shop crowd

Luxury chocolatier, Hotel Chocolat has opened a dynamic new Coffee vs Cocoa Bar, “Roast+Conch”, based on a new concept which combines all of the company’s activities under one roof – from cocoa growing and chocolate making, to creating innovative new cocoa-based drinks and food.

Situated in the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden, the café takes theatrical cooking to a whole new level. Delivering cocoa beans fresh from the company’s plantation in St Lucia, the beans are then processed on the premises so customers can see, smell and taste the entire process in action – from roasting to conching, mixing and tempering.

Roast+Conch is the first café to make small batches of chocolate from their own beans in the heart of London and has given consumers a unique opportunity to see the whole process in action, whilst giving the company an edge on other “high street” competitors in the area.
