IKEA knows how to engage its customers with smart, interactive ideas. We have seen this consistently over recent months and years.
It’s also a brand that recognises our changing environment, and with urban populations growing, and space at a premium, IKEA reckons it has the ideal solution, regardless of how small and cramped our living space may be.
To highlight this it decided to place an entire store in a 300px x 250px web banner advertisement. This was coupled to a channel strategy targeting people looking for studio flats and one or two bedroom apartments – via the real estate sections of various community websites.
The web banner has full functionality, allowing readers to browse, select and purchase any product on display.
It seems good things do indeed come in small packages!
