Your Music School, a Hamburg-based vocal education school, developed a new website with the aim of generating a wave of applicants for its vocal coaching courses. Rather than using a mouse to browse the website, the school decided to let users sing in order to browse the site’s pages.
To navigate through the website, the eight menu items were arranged on a scale. By singing the appropriate notes users could move up and down and navigate through various pages of the website. The navigation speed was also determined by the tone of voice used.
Not only was this a creative and playful way to interact with users but it also led to an increase in notifications by almost 30 percent.
