If you have a crazy idea (that might just work) and you want it to gain some traction, Kickstarter is a good place to begin your journey to attract investors.
This has proven the case for the Pebble digital wristwatch, which currently has more than $6.25 million (USD) pledged, with more than 42,000 backers to date.
Pebble is customisable, with an e-paper display (much like Amazon’s Kindle) and you can download watch faces, run a host of apps and connect to your iPhone or Android smartphone using Bluetooth – so you can have vibrating alerts through emails, calls, Facebook messages, or even tweets.
In the sporting domain it will be a must-have for cyclists and runners, not to mention a useful distance-to-pin finder for golfers!
