The sun and its effect on our skin is a hot topic as people continue to sacrifice healthy skin for a healthy glow. NIVEA is out to prove that the sun isn’t that bad, so long as we come prepared with the appropriate equipment. Brazilian agency Giovanni + Draftfcb have created a very innovative print ad that uses the sun for good by charging your phone while you soak up some rays.
NIVEA printed out a series of magazine inserts that contained a material that takes in and stores solar power, as well as a USB port so that Brazil’s many sunbathers didn’t have to miss out on any of the fun just to charge their phones. It was a very unique way of creating advertising that offers some value to the user, while still being relevant to the brand.
